
Dr. Aleena Shoukat
She completed her family medicine residency in the Hudson Valley of New York,
where she gained experience in a diverse and dynamic healthcare environment.
Following her residency, she pursued a geriatrics fellowship at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City, graduating in 2024.
Throughout her training, she has developed expertise in both geriatrics and palliative care, with a particular focus on dementia education and care. She additionally has a strong interest in long-term care settings, including nursing homes and assisted living facilities, where she has worked closely with interdisciplinary teams to enhance the quality of life for older adults. She has presented on fall prevention and sleep in aging contributing to the broader discourse on enhancing the quality of life for the elderly population. She is dedicated to bridging the gap between lifestyle medicine and geriatric care, striving to create a healthcare model that emphasizes prevention, holistic care, and improved quality of life for older adults.
