Dr. David Russel Glass
MBChB, FCOG(SA), Dip.IBLM Chairperson South African Lifestyle Medicine Association
Dr. David Glass is a seasoned obstetrician and passionate advocate for preventive and lifestyle medicine. After earning his MBChB from UCT in 1975, he spent nearly 13 years at Maluti Adventist Hospital in Lesotho, leading a comprehensive community health initiative that significantly improved maternal and child health outcomes. He later practiced obstetrics and gynecology in Port Shepstone, South Africa, for 28 years.
A founding member and current Chairperson of the South African Lifestyle Medicine Association, Dr. Glass became board-certified in lifestyle medicine in 2020. He also serves as Vice President of the African Lifestyle Medicine Council and represents Africa on the WLMO Executive Committee.
