Dr. Mowadat Hussain Rana

He is a Member of the Advisory Board of the Pakistan Association of Lifestyle Medicine, Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioural Sciences, and Chief Editor of the Journal of EMDR Asia. He serves on the National Task Force for Mental Health, Government of Pakistan; chairs The Healing Triad–Pakistan; and is Honorary Chair of the Department of Behavioural Sciences and Adjunct Professor at the University of Health Sciences, Lahore. He is also a consultant and advisor to the Army Public Schools and Colleges System and a member of the WHO Technical Committee on Mental Health.

Author of 12 books and over 70 publications, Dr. Rana is a Sitara-e-Imtiaz and two-time Avicenna Award recipient, and was named Best University Teacher by the Higher Education Commission. A retired Brigadier and founding Commandant of the Armed Forces Institute of Mental Health, he continues to actively teach and advise on mental health in Pakistan and abroad.
